It’s already February – January seems to have slipped through our fingers. But we’re back again! 🙂 Last month I made a new painting of a series of pots. I kept it nice and light. I put the painting on a table, and combined it with some small jugs and bowls. In stead of hanging paintings, you can put them on a surface, and thus create nice still-lives with them.
I’ve also been working with paper mache. I made some bowls and covered a couple of bottles with paper. One bottle was covered with kitchen tissue dipped in starch, and with that I modelled. I made a handle out of an old and beautiful branch. After a good dry I painted it all with gesso – but there are of course other possibilities. It creates nice still-lives, light and minimal. This inspired Sietske again to make some beautiful photos. I’ll definitely experiment a little more with this!
