Sunday really honoured its name: it was a truly sunny day! We’ve been really enjoying a day in the beauty of the garden, as it was such a serene atmosphere. At intervals the tranquility is broken by a new housemate, as we’ve expanded the family to include a lovely little kitten named Emma! Everything is one big adventure for her right now, and to her there’s just so much to discover in the garden. We hope she will be like Frida, and remain within the garden boundaries. This does take some vigilance on our parts though! Frida is still getting acclimatised to this little busy-body, but we’re hopeful that they’ll be best of friends very soon.
Some time ago a photographer from Germany approached us if she could take pictures of our home and garden for a German magazine. It was a very fun photoshoot, and we’re excited to tell you that the September issue of Wohnen Und Garten is now available! It’s so cool to see your own house in a magazine spread. Suffice to say that we’re chuffed with the result!
We’ve been doing quite a bit of photography, gardening, and painting these last few days. In my latest series of paintings I’ve taken inspiration from the garden. Trees and gardens are very dear to me, and I’m so enjoying painting them. You will be able to find them in our gallery and Etsy shop very soon!
Warmest wishes,
Geertruida & Sietske.
