It’s December – the cosiest month of the year! Whilst writing this blogpost, our cats Frida and Emma are keeping me company. Things in the house are all peaceful and calm, and the ladies are resting.
Earlier this afternoon things were the opposite of tranquil: whilst making Christmas decorations, Emma got very excited seeing all the green and moss. I had to move mountains to keep everything looking as nice as possible, without Emma jumping in the middle of my creations!
As we stand on the brink of a new decade, we are hopeful for a beautiful future. Lighting the candles in our house, we were reminded of the beautiful Chinese proverb, “It’s better to light a single candle than to curse the darkness”. My son Jacob turned this saying into a cross-stitch pattern, which you can get here for free.
With this sentiment we’ll sign off for this year, and we are looking forward to having you join us on our journey in life next year!
A very merry Christmas and the best wishes for 2020 from all three of us,
Geertruida, Sietske & Jacob
