It’s Autumn! It’s time to make things snug and cozy inside. We started with my studio, as I felt it could do with a little make-over. So first lots of tidying, cleaning – and then the fun part, re-arranging the furniture and making things look nice! I’m very pleased with the result, and have spent quite a bit of time there painting and listening to music.
I’ve made a new series of landscape paintings, which could be interpreted as sort of dream- or memory-scapes. The green in our garden and in the forests in our area have found their way onto the canvas. You can find some of these new works in my Etsy shop. It’s also been good to paint gardens, as with all the rain we’ve had here lately, we’ve hardly been able to spend any time outdoors. We do hope for some dry weather though, as there are a couple of plants that need to be re-planted.
As you might’ve noticed, Emma has grown quite a bit – she’s now 5 months old. Emma is an absolute sweetheart, and loves to sit with us. She loves getting attention. She’s also very playful, and seems to have an artistic side to her as well – as we discovered when she was trying to rearrange a basket of hydrangeas. I’m not completely convinced about her floristry skills though… so for the time being I’ve decided that the flowers will live on the highest shelves in my studio!
