If you know me a little, you’ll not be surprised to see me make a detour whilst on a cycle trip to visit my favourite garden centre, De Tuin bij de Wildernis‘ (The Garden at the Wilderness). During a recent trip through beautiful Gaasterlân we decided to pay them a visit again.
The garden is located in an enchanting location, in the middle of the forest. You can walk barefoot in the soft springy grass. Wherever you look there are beautiful flowers, stunning trees, and spread around are seats where you can take all the beauty in – sometimes in the pleasant shade of a tree. But such misfortune: Sietske hadn’t brought her camera with her! After our visit we decided to head back home, and return the next time the weather would be good. I did of course buy some plants. You can’t buy too many when you’re cycling, but I was very happy with them (and with the prospect of returning soon with empty panniers!).
A few days later the weather was nice, so we returned to the garden. Sietske had plenty to photograph as you can see – nature gives us such beauty! We hope you will enjoy.
