Black, white and grey, these are the colours I used for my latest 3 paintings. I love these colours and they have always been part of my work and they mix well with my earlier paintings. For my next exhibition I am planning to display only black, white and grey paintings on my gallery wall. Already looking forward to this.
With all this painting lately, the garden has been neglected a bit. This week I did lots of pruning and especially the lovely rose Blush Noisette needed attention. It is a very attractive rose and it bears masses of lilac-pink blooms and has a rich scent. For me the only downside is that the rose doesn’t drop it’s dead flowers, and I have to do it myself!
And there is of course the New Dawn rose, it has always been one of my favourite roses. I love the big soft creamy pink flowers and it’s sweet fruit fragrance and I noticed it handles rain very well. The flowers still look good after heavy showers. The decision to move the hydrangea earlier this season appeared to be a good one. We are now rewarded with many blooms, it looks so beautiful.
